Environmental Care: Brimob Gegana of PMJ Cleans Al-Magfiroh Mosque in Slipi

Personnel of the Gegana Detachment, Brimob Unit of Polda Metro Jaya, carried out a community clean-up at Al-Magfiroh Mosque, Palmerah, West Jakarta (Jakarta Barat). The activity was conducted as a form of care for environmental cleanliness and to support the comfort of worshippers.

Led by AKP Mujiadi, Gegana Detachment personnel arrived at the site in the morning and first coordinated with the Chairman of the Mosque’s Dewan Kemakmuran Masjid (DKM), Ustaz Sutisna. After that, the activity continued with communal cleaning of the mosque area together with the local administrators.

‘This effort is undertaken to maintain cleanliness as well as to create a more comfortable atmosphere for worshippers,’ said the Brimob PMJ Commander, Kombes Henik Maryanto, on Friday, 6 March 2026.

He said the environmental-cleanliness drive is part of Brimob’s commitment to continue to be present among the community through real actions that benefit the surrounding environment.

Through this activity, Brimob hopes that the concern for environmental cleanliness can be maintained, especially at places of worship which are the centre of community activity.

The personnel then cleaned at several points, from the mosque’s courtyard area, the prayer space with carpet vacuuming, to cleaning ventilation, glass, and windows inside the building.

The chairman of the Al-Magfiroh Mosque’s DKM, Ustaz Sutisna, expressed appreciation for the care shown by Brimob personnel through the activity. According to him, activities such as this have a positive impact and strengthen the relationship between the police and the community.
