Environmental Activists Campaign to Save the Citarum River at Oxbow Bojongsoang

Activists affiliated with WALHI West Java and the Citarum River Basin Community Resource Centre (DAS Citarum) displayed placards during the Resistance Climbing For Citarum protest at the Oxbow Bojongsoang on the Citarum River, in Bandung Regency, West Java, on Friday 22 May 2026. The action took place ahead of Citarum Day on 24 May and was a campaign demanding a review of all policy implementations under the Citarum Harum programme, which to date has failed to bring tangible changes to the river, which remains polluted with waste and litter.
