By 2028, we will have sorted out this matter. Insha’Allah, it can be done. This is because the President’s commitment is to ensure it becomes a national priority programme, so all ministries, everyone—not just the Environment Ministry, but all—will certainly work towards that solution,” said Jumhur at the Ministry of Environment building in South Jakarta on Wednesday (29/4/2026).

Jumhur mentioned that there are many community ideas for waste management, one of which is Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF). His side will promote community alternatives for waste management.

“And the results of RDF are good, so it can be made into anything, like fuel, then tiles, paving blocks, and we will continue to encourage that,” he stated.

Jumhur also assured that community ideas and innovations in waste management will be welcomed. The government will provide support.

“We will continue to encourage all community movements that have aspirations to manage waste; we must welcome them. The government will ensure we welcome them and together we will continue to explore so that it becomes a reality,” he said.
