Enthusiastic Public Response to Bogor Police Free Homecoming Programme, 1,063 Register
Bogor Police District’s free homecoming programme has been enthusiastically received by residents. A total of 1,063 people registered within the first 12 minutes of online registration opening.
“Within 12 minutes of online registration opening, 1,063 people have registered to participate in this programme,” stated Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto in a written statement on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.
Wikha noted that 20 bus units have been prepared to accommodate an estimated 1,000 passengers returning to their hometowns for Eid. The fleet is evenly divided to serve two main routes: 10 buses for the north coast route and 10 buses for the south coast route.
The homecoming routes for Bogor Police’s programme are as follows: North Coast Route: Cibinong-Cirebon-Brebes-Pemalang-Batang-Kendal-Semarang. For the south coast route: Cibinong-Bandung-Tasik-Banjar-Karangpucung-Wangon-Gombong-Kebumen-Purworejo.
Following the online registration phase conducted on 7-8 March, registrants are currently undergoing the data verification stage scheduled for 9-10 March 2026. The verification process involves collecting queue numbers and presenting required documents including family cards (KK), identity cards (KTP), and proof of residence in Bogor Regency.
“Those who have registered must come directly to the Traffic Unit of Bogor Police District for verification,” Wikha said.
Verified participants in Bogor Police’s free homecoming programme will depart on 18 March. The departure point is centralised at Pakansari Stadium in Cibinong, Bogor Regency.
“This programme is a concrete demonstration of Bogor Police District’s concern in assisting the community to celebrate Eid al-Fitr in their hometowns safely, comfortably, and free of charge,” Wikha said.
