Entertainment centers punished

JAKARTA (JP): The number of the entertainment centers reprimanded by the city administration for violating performance regulations during the fasting month of Ramadhan and Idul Fitri holidays has increased to seven.

Kusaeni Budiantoro, head of the City Law and Order Office, told Antara yesterday that two were closed for operating without the necessary permits from the municipality.

The remainder were reprimanded for disobeying closing time, he said, adding that the seven centers are discotheques, billiard centers and karaoke lounges.

During the Ramadhan month, the municipality only allowed the centers to operate until midnight. (hhr)
