It is deemed necessary to inform people that entertainers such
as television soap opera actors, film stars, comedians, singers
and the like actually receive their fees after tax. It is the
production houses and TV stations which manage the tax of the
artists concerned.

For example, if a film star reports that his fee is Rp 1
million, he will then say that the amount is after tax.

Ticket sales for stage performances by singers, comedians or
emcees are also subject to tax, which should be paid by the event
organizers.

Like other citizens, entertainers also fulfill their
obligation in paying taxes such as vehicle tax, land and building
tax, value-added tax, etc.
