Entangled in MBG Corruption Case, Colonel BU Cannot Be Processed by Jampidsus

The Attorney General’s Office has discovered the alleged involvement of an active TNI soldier in a suspected corruption case related to the management of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) for the 2025–2026 period. The Director of Investigation at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, stated in Jakarta on Thursday that the TNI member has the initials BU and serves as the Secretary of the Deputy for Provision and Distribution at BGN. “We found the involvement of an active TNI individual here who served as Secretary of the Deputy for Provision and Distribution at BGN and also as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) in the procurement of goods and services, especially the procurement of motorcycles,” he said. He revealed that BU is a TNI member with the rank of colonel. The alleged involvement of BU as the PPK in this case was uncovered through the development of the investigation into the procurement of electric motorcycles, which was the mode of corruption. “As the PPK, he was involved in arranging matters, such as price mark-ups and directing the selection of providers. This was indeed carried out by the PPK and the provider we have detained,” he stated.
