Entangled in MBG Corruption Case, Colonel BU Cannot Be Processed by Jampidsus

The Attorney General’s Office has discovered the alleged involvement of an active TNI soldier in the corruption case concerning the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) for the 2025–2026 period.

Speaking in Jakarta on Thursday, the Director of Investigation for the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) of the Attorney General’s Office, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, stated that the TNI member is identified by the initials BU, serving as the Secretary of the Deputy for Provision and Distribution at the BGN.

“We have found the involvement of an active TNI official here, serving as the Secretary of the Deputy for Provision and Distribution of the BGN and also as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) in the procurement of goods and services, particularly the procurement of motorcycles,” he said.

He revealed that BU is a TNI member holding the rank of Colonel. BU’s alleged involvement as the PPK in this case was uncovered during the investigation into the procurement of electric motorcycles, which served as the corruption modus operandi.

“As the PPK, there was involvement in regulating matters, such as price inflation and directing the selection of providers; these actions were carried out by the PPK and the providers, whom we have already detained,” he added.
