Ensuring Tourist Safety, West Java Introduces Insurance at Tourist Attractions
PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo) Regional Office II Bandung has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the West Java Provincial Chapter of the Indonesian Recreational Park Business Association (DPD PUTRI). This step is aimed at forging cooperation in developing general insurance services, particularly in the tourism and SME sectors. West Java Province is known as one of the leading tourist destinations with continuously growing SME activities, playing a crucial role in driving regional economic growth. Budi stated that this collaboration represents a strategic move to expand Askrindo’s service reach, especially in the tourism sector, which holds significant potential in West Java. “Through this partnership, we hope to deliver optimal insurance protection for business actors and tourists, while supporting the growth of the tourism and SME sectors in West Java,” said Budhi in an official statement on Wednesday (29/4/2026). Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), in December 2025 alone, there were 18.53 million domestic trips or visits by domestic tourists to West Java Province. Budhi added that this collaboration also opens opportunities for future business development through various other insurance products. “With the considerable potential for tourist visits in West Java, this partnership is expected to make a positive contribution to the company’s performance. In the future, this collaboration can also be expanded to other products such as surety bonds, bank guarantee counters, and credit insurance,” he added. Through this partnership, Askrindo and the West Java Provincial Chapter of PUTRI aim to continue driving the growth of the tourism sector and the regional economy through the provision of comprehensive insurance protection services.
