The Indonesian capital market is undergoing a transformation. The number of investors continues to increase, with the younger generation becoming the most dominant group driving this growth in recent years.

According to the Indonesian Capital Market Statistics Report released by the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) as of March 2026, the composition of investors aged 30 and below reached 54.71 per cent of the total investor base, followed by the 31–40 age group at 24.57 per cent. Meanwhile, investors aged 41–50 contributed 12.39 per cent, the 51–60 age group accounted for 5.56 per cent, and investors aged over 60 represented only 2.77 per cent.
