PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Refinery Unit Dumai (Pertamina Dumai Refinery) has confirmed that refinery operations will continue normally around the clock during the Idul Fitri 1447 H celebrations. The aim is to ensure the availability and resilience of national energy supplies, particularly in the North Sumatra region (Sumbagut) during the Ramadan and Idul Fitri Task Force period.

Nevertheless, Pertamina Dumai Refinery ensures that health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) aspects are prioritised across all operational lines. Dumai Refinery management conducted management walkthroughs (MWT) to several operational areas after performing Idul Fitri prayers.

“All officers are carrying out their duties professionally according to the task assignments to ensure refinery operations run optimally, safely, and reliably in serving the community’s energy needs during the RAFI 2026 moment,” said General Manager of Pertamina Dumai Refinery Iwan Kurniawan in his statement on Tuesday (24/3).

In addition to MWT, operational reliability is monitored in real time through the Main Control Room and plant patrol activities. Security aspects are also a primary focus.

This security involves internal and external synergies, including Security PT KPI RU II Dumai, PAM Obvitnas of Riau Police, Dumai Police Resort, Kodim 0320, Lanal Dumai, Satrad 232, Denrudal 004, Kipan A 132, Subdenpom 01, and Satpol PP.

Iwan stated that Pertamina Dumai Refinery is committed to meeting the production targets that have been outlined, namely 3.27 million barrels during March 2026. This consists of 0.35 million barrels of Pertalite, 2.60 million barrels of solar, and 0.32 million barrels of avtur.

Area Manager for Communication, Relations, & CSR at Pertamina Dumai Refinery, Tengku Muhammad Rum, emphasised that synergy with stakeholders is key to maintaining smooth operations.

“Good collaboration and coordination with all stakeholders is an important factor in maintaining operational smoothness, especially during this RAFI period. Through solid synergy, we ensure that refinery operations continue to run safely and reliably in supporting the fulfilment of the community’s energy needs,” added Muhammad Rum.

Meanwhile, Pertamina’s Vice President of Corporate Communication, Muhammad Baron, added that operational readiness across all Pertamina business lines, including at Pertamina Dumai Refinery, is part of the company’s commitment to providing reliable energy services during the Ramadan and Idul Fitri period.

“Pertamina ensures that all energy infrastructure, from refineries to distribution, continues to operate optimally during the Idul Fitri period. This is part of our commitment to maintaining national energy resilience and ensuring that the community’s energy needs are met safely and smoothly,” said Baron.
