Ensuring Development Meets Targets, Kemenko PM Monitors Construction of Ponpes Al Khoziny
Sidoarjo, VIVA – The Deputy for Coordinating the Empowerment of Rural Communities, Underdeveloped Areas, and Specific Regions of the Coordinating Ministry for Human Empowerment, Abdul Haris, along with representatives from the Ministry of Public Works, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the Ministry of Home Affairs, conducted field monitoring and coordination for the construction of Pondok Pesantren Al-Khoziny in Sidoarjo on Thursday, 2 April 2026.
Abdul Haris expressed his support for continuing cross-ministerial coordination to ensure that the construction of Pondok Pesantren Al-Khoziny proceeds according to target.
“The implementation of field monitoring and coordination is aimed at ensuring that the construction of Pondok Pesantren Al-Khoziny can be completed on target (June 2026), so that it can be utilised for the learning process at the pesantren in the new academic year 2026/2027, as directed by the Coordinating Minister for Human Empowerment, Muhaimin Iskandar, during the groundbreaking on 11 December 2025,” he said in his statement, quoted on Friday, 3 April 2026.
Based on the field monitoring, information was obtained that the physical construction process has reached 22.35 percent. This achievement has exceeded the set target of 20.33 percent up to 31 March 2026.
The project head of construction from Waskita Karya reported potential delays due to the installation of foundation piles, which must be carried out carefully to avoid impacting surrounding buildings.
A representative of Pondok Pesantren Al-Khoziny conveyed proposals for fulfilling supporting learning facilities after the construction process is completed. Regarding these proposals, the representative from the Ministry of Religious Affairs will endeavour to fulfil the required supporting facilities.
On that occasion, the Ministry of Public Works requested support from the Coordinating Ministry for Human Empowerment to accelerate the follow-up of the budget proposal for the construction of Pondok Pesantren Al-Khoziny in the 2026 Fiscal Year, which has already been submitted to the Ministry of State Secretariat.
