Ensure Fuel Stock Safety During Eid Exodus, Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Visits Rest Area 379 A Batang-Semarang
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SEMARANG – Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, PT Pertamina (Persero) continues to maintain energy supplies for the public. Together with Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Yuliot Tanjung, Pertamina inspected energy availability at Rest Area 379 A Batang-Semarang on Wednesday, 18 March 2026.
Yuliot stated that national fuel stock resilience is currently above the minimum standards set by the government. “The minimum reserve according to regulations is 21 days. Currently, the reserves we have prepared are fluctuating, in the range of 27 to 28 days,” he said.
According to him, this figure is continuously maintained through ongoing distribution, both from domestic refineries and import supplies. Therefore, fuel needs during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr are secure.
The public is urged not to worry about fuel availability during the mudik and Eid holiday period. Furthermore, Yuliot emphasised that the government is implementing policies to maintain stability and public calm.
Vice President Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero) Muhammad Baron stated that Pertamina is always striving to maintain energy supplies. However, in facing the Middle East conflict, Pertamina urges the public to use energy wisely and purchase according to needs.
“Pertamina is coordinating with relevant entities and law enforcement authorities to safeguard energy distribution. Individuals engaging in hoarding will be dealt with firmly as it harms others’ rights,” Baron explained in a statement on Friday (20/3/2026).
To ensure public comfort, Pertamina is providing various additional services for travellers.
Pertamina has set up Serambi MyPertamina at several rest areas as well as tourist areas. This service has seen facility improvements year on year, serving as a comfortable and enjoyable resting spot.
At Serambi MyPertamina, mudik travellers can utilise health services such as blood pressure checks, oxygen saturation, and basic health condition assessments. Additionally, massage chairs for relaxation are available, along with children’s play areas to help families unwind during their journey.
“All of this is prepared so that the public can rest comfortably, stay healthy, and make their mudik journey safer and more enjoyable,” he explained.
The government, together with Pertamina, is committed to continuously maintaining national energy resilience while enhancing service quality for the public, ensuring that the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr moments can be passed smoothly, safely, and filled with joy.
As a leading company in the energy transition sector, Pertamina is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target and continues to promote programmes that directly impact the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
All these efforts align with Pertamina’s transformation oriented towards governance, public service, business and environmental sustainability, by applying Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) principles across all business lines and operations of Pertamina.
