Enjoying Water Activities While Waiting for Sunset at Subak Tukad Yeh Poh Dalung
A number of children were seen enjoying themselves playing in the irrigation river currents at the Subak Tukad Yeh Poh area, Banjar Padang Bali, Dalung Village, North Kuta, Badung, Bali. While getting wet, they were hunting for small fish among the river rocks, where water levels have decreased due to the dry season.
The jogging track located in the middle of the rice field area suddenly became crowded with residents on Sunday (20/09/2026) afternoon. This location, which was originally only an agricultural path, has now transformed into a spot for watching the sunset as well as an affordable recreational area.
Visitors to the location were dominated by families and groups of teenagers. The crowds began to appear from 4:00 PM WITA, as the weather became cooler and less scorching.
Some residents utilised the path for light exercise, such as jogging or a leisurely stroll. Meanwhile, other visitors chose to sit relaxedly while enjoying the expanse of rice fields where the paddy is beginning to turn yellow.
One visitor, Muhammad Guntur Setiawan (19), admitted that he frequently uses this area for afternoon exercise, especially since it is not far from his residence in Dalung. According to him, the place is becoming increasingly crowded because it frequently appears on social media.
“The atmosphere here in the afternoon for jogging is very fresh, quite beautiful, and close to home. I have been here quite often. It used to be ordinary, but now it is crowded because it is often highlighted on social media, so it is getting busier,” said Guntur.
The beauty of the afternoon scenery at Subak Tukad Yeh Poh also serves as a draw for visitors. Risma (22), a visitor from Kerobokan, for instance, intentionally visited after learning that the location had gone viral on TikTok.
“The sunset viewing spot is good, it is cool for taking photos, and it is quite viral on TikTok. I knew about it from social media, which is why I came here. It is quite crowded yet affordable, and sitting here is still very natural,” Risma expressed.
The influx of visitors is also stimulating the local economy. Several residents have begun setting up temporary stalls around the entrance of the subak area, selling various snacks and refreshing drinks.
Despite the increasing number of visitors every weekend, the Subak Tukad Yeh Poh recreational area does not charge any fees; it is free of charge. Visitors can enjoy this alternative open space without being charged an entrance fee or parking fee.
Finding this location is not difficult. Visitors only need to look for the Balai Banjar Padang Bali location in Dalung Village, North Kuta District, Badung. The travel time is approximately 30-45 minutes from Denpasar.
After finding Balai Banjar Padang Bali, visitors simply need to enter the road next to the banjar hall. It is about 500 metres east of the main road, leading directly into the rice field area.
