English course for peddlers

DENPASAR: The Badung administration in this tourist island of Bali is organizing English courses for souvenir peddlers in tourist spots such as Baha village, Ayun Mengwi Park, and Sangeh forest.

Regency spokesman I Gusti Ngurah Wiranjaya said yesterday the courses were expected to help peddlers communicate with foreign tourists.

"Good language skills and politeness will create a good impression and make tourists want to return to Bali," Regent I Gusti Bagus Alit Putra was quoted by Antara as saying. (swe)
