Schneider Electric, a French energy management and industrial automation company, has affirmed its role as an electric technology partner that drives efficiency and sustainability through electrification, automation, and sustainability. Through its two main business lines—energy management and industrial automation—the company is expanding into software services and sustainability. It has operated in Indonesia for 53 years and runs two smart factories in Batam and Cikarang. Through digitalisation and automation, Schneider has been able to increase productivity by 20% while reducing carbon emissions by 37%. Its product range currently includes electrical protection devices such as MCBs and MCCBs, switches and socket outlets, as well as motor control and industrial automation systems like PLCs and inverters, which are used in homes, commercial buildings, and factories.
