Energy Resilience Deemed the Main Factor in Public Satisfaction with Prabowo-Gibran Performance
Jakarta, VIVA – Director of Nusantara Riset Indonesia, Deni Yusup, has presented the results of the latest national survey on public satisfaction with the performance of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. The findings indicate that energy resilience is the factor most appreciated by the public.
In the survey findings, 80.17% of respondents stated they are very satisfied with the performance of the President and Vice President. Meanwhile, 7.33% stated they are dissatisfied, and 12.50% did not know or did not answer.
“These figures reflect a strong level of political legitimacy towards the current government’s policy direction,” Deni said in a written statement on Thursday, 7 May 2026.
He explained that the aspect of energy resilience is the factor with the highest percentage, namely 19.17%. This achievement positions the energy sector as the main foundation of public trust in the government’s performance, while also showing that the stability of supply and national energy policies have been directly felt by the public.
In addition to energy resilience, other factors contributing to public satisfaction levels include the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG) at 18.33%, President Prabowo’s leadership at 17.92%, law enforcement at 16.67%, food resilience at 15.42%, and the education and people’s school sector at 12.50%.
“The combination of these various policies forms a positive public perception of the government’s overall performance,” he said.
However, the survey also recorded several critical notes from the public. Public dissatisfaction is most commonly caused by issues of corruption and weak law enforcement at 13%.
In addition, he continued, there is scrutiny on regulations that are not yet optimal (10%), government coordination (9.50%), as well as the need for welfare improvements and education sector reforms, each at 9%.
In the context of the national political map, the survey also measured the electability of political parties. The results show that the Great Indonesia Movement Party leads with electability of 27.25%.
“For the second and third positions, conclusions cannot be drawn because the difference is under 1%. Namely, the Functional Groups Party at 15.67% and the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle at 15.17%. Other parties such as the National Mandate Party and the Awakening Party are in the middle group,” he said.
The trend of Gerindra’s dominance is also consistently seen in indicators of party preference, performance, and popularity, each around 27%. This shows a correlation between government performance and public political preferences.
