Endurance Energy Concludes Gastech 2026 Participation with Focus on Modular Frame-Based Gas Liquefaction Solutions
Chongqing, China — The Gastech 2026 event at the Bangkok International Trade Exhibition Centre attracted 59,468 visitors from over 150 countries. Out of approximately 1,000 visitors to the Endurance Energy booth, the company recorded more than 100 business prospects, with Southeast Asia emerging as a primary focus area.
A common challenge faced by Thailand, Indonesia, and neighbouring countries is the development of small-scale gas fields and biogas projects. While technically potential, these projects are often not commercially viable due to excessively high development costs. Consequently, much of the gas potential remains underutilised, not due to a lack of reserves, but because the gas composition does not meet the specifications required for processing with conventional facilities.
Endurance Energy offers a solution by moving much of this complex processing to the production facility. Technologies for desulphurisation, decarbonisation, dehydration, and mercury removal are integrated with gas liquefaction units in a modular frame-based configuration. These units are shipped fully assembled and can undergo immediate testing at the project site. Through this approach, the development of small-scale gas fields can be carried out gradually with more realistic technical and economic considerations.
“Small-scale projects rarely fail due to technical issues,” said David Li, Vice President of the Global Business Development Group at Endurance Energy. “Usually, the problem lies in the schedule and who will handle issues when disruptions occur.”
A similar approach is applied to various solutions displayed at the Endurance Energy booth, ranging from LNG liquefaction plants and modular frames integrated with LNG/L-CNG, to box-type refuelling units, mobile CNG equipment, and hydrogen solutions. All these solutions rely on an integrated process from the early stages, including factory prefabrication, complete unit delivery, and rapid on-site testing.
Beyond Southeast Asia, Endurance Energy brought field-proven experience, including projects in Africa. In the Abuja CNG Hub programme in Nigeria, the company served as a major supplier providing complete equipment packages, ranging from compression systems for CNG mother stations and refuelling subsystems to station integration. Endurance Energy also deployed technical teams to manage installation and testing, implement operation and maintenance (O&M) standards, and train the local workforce.
In May, one of the hub stations supplied by Endurance Energy commenced commercial operations, with first-stage equipment operating stably. Several Nigerian companies have since expressed interest in establishing partnerships with Endurance Energy.
Currently, Endurance Energy operates over 500 refuelling stations in more than 15 countries. This experience demonstrates the role of modular design and local service support in accelerating the adoption of clean energy.
