Endress+Hauser Promotes Strengthening Dual Vocational Education to Meet Industry's Need for Competent Workforce

Jakarta – Global instrumentation, services, and process engineering solutions company Endress+Hauser is encouraging collaboration, sharing insights, and strengthening partnerships to bridge the talent gap and prepare competent human resources relevant to future industry needs. The initiative was carried out through the Education Forum 2026 in Jakarta. The company, which has been present in Indonesia since the 1980s and officially established PT Endress+Hauser Indonesia in 2013, brought together stakeholders from the industrial, education, and strategic partner sectors to discuss the development of dual vocational education in Indonesia. Corporate Sales Director of Endress+Hauser Group Services and President Director of Endress+Hauser Indonesia, Henry Chia, stressed the importance of collaboration between industry and educational institutions in preparing a workforce that meets market demands. He noted that the success of technology is not solely determined by its sophistication, but also by the human ability to utilise it. “The most important thing is not how advanced the technology we produce is, but how humans can utilise it to provide real benefits to customers,” Henry Chia stated on Friday, 12 June 2026. He also reported that over the past five years, Endress+Hauser’s business in Indonesia has grown by 40 percent, accompanied by a 4 percent increase in employment opportunities and a 10 percent rise in the number of apprenticeship programme participants. Meanwhile, Mathias Domenig, Deputy Head of Mission at the Swiss Embassy for Indonesia, ASEAN, and Timor-Leste, highlighted the close bilateral relationship between Switzerland and Indonesia, which has been established for 75 years. He noted that this relationship is reflected not only in strong cooperation but also through the positive contributions of Swiss companies like Endress+Hauser in promoting quality investment, skills development, and sustainable development in Indonesia. Jens Kroeger, Head of Global Dual Education at Endress+Hauser Group Services, emphasised the role of industry in supporting talent development through partnerships with educational institutions. He explained that companies can contribute by providing structured apprenticeship programmes, knowledge exchange platforms, online learning environments, and hands-on practical experience relevant to industry needs.
