Endangered animals seized in Bandung

BANDUNG: Indonesia's Natural Resources Conservation Center (BKSDA), in cooperation with the Nusantara Nature Conservation (Konus), recently seized 15 endangered animals that were illegally smuggled into Bandung, West Java.

Konus spokesman Heri Oktavinalis said on Friday that the 15 wild animals were seized between January and May from traders in a number of places, such as Bandung Indah Plaza, Sukahaji market and Bandung Trade Center.

"All wild animals, including primates, mammals and birds, are categorized as endangered," he said. -- Antara
