End of the Road for Cikarang's 'Taufik Hidayat'

A man with the initial S, who had been on the run from the Bekasi Metro Police for over a week, was finally arrested in East Jakarta. He is the perpetrator of the confinement and assault of his girlfriend, a woman with the initial TS. His actions reminded the public of the figure Taufik Hidayat in Bandung, West Java, who confined and tortured his girlfriend until the victim suffered severe facial damage. S’s actions became widely discussed after a video showing TS with facial injuries in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, West Java, went viral on social media. From the video, TS’s body was covered in bruises, and her face appeared injured, allegedly due to beatings. TS’s condition was discovered by her family on Wednesday (8/7). The family picked up the victim from the location of the confinement and reported the incident to the police. Two days later, on Tuesday (14/7), police arrested one perpetrator with the initials HSLT. He is an employee of S who helped confine the victim TS. As the hunt for S progressed, investigators revealed that S had assaulted TS repeatedly. The dispute between the victim and the suspect occurred on 29 June 2026, and the suspect allegedly committed violence against the victim repeatedly until 8 July 2026, resulting in bruises on the victim’s face and hands. The victim was only able to escape the confinement when her boyfriend left the premises, fleeing through a window. The Bekasi Metro Police revealed the suspected motive for the confinement and assault was jealousy, with the perpetrator accusing the victim of having a relationship with another man. Saturday (18/7) marked the end of the run for S, the ‘Cikarang Taufik Hidayat’. He was apprehended by police at 01.00 WIB.
