End of Ko Erwin's Escape! Narcotics Dealer Who Gave Rp1 Billion Bribe to AKBP Didik Arrested by Bareskrim
Jakarta – The escape of a narcotics dealer allegedly involved in a bribery scandal with former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro has finally ended. The fugitive named Erwin Iskandar Bin Iskandar, alias Ko Erwin, has been arrested by a joint team from Bareskrim Polri. The arrest was conducted by a Combined Team from Sub-directorate IV and the NIC Task Force of the Narcotics Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri. This news was confirmed by the Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Police Eko Hadi Santoso.
“It is true that fugitive Erwin has been arrested by the Combined Team from Sub-directorate IV and the NIC Task Force of the Narcotics Crime Directorate at Bareskrim Polri,” he said on Friday, 27 February 2026.
However, police have not yet disclosed detailed information regarding the arrest location or Erwin’s role within the narcotics network under investigation. Details of the case and the legal construction are promised to be presented formally during a press conference.
“Further details will be presented at the time of the press conference,” he added.
Previously, the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (NTB) had established suspect status against Ko Erwin, a narcotics dealer who provided a Rp1 billion bribe to AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro when serving as Head of Bima City Police Resort. The suspect status for the person who gave the bribe through intermediary AKP Malaungi was revealed from a brief confirmation by the Head of the Communications Division of NTB Regional Police, Commissioner Besar Polisi Mohammad Kholid, via a written WhatsApp message on Friday.
“Yes (Ko Erwin is a suspect),” he said.
Regarding further legal steps following Ko Erwin’s establishment as a suspect, including investigation and detention procedures, Kholid requested time.
“Yes, he is still being searched for and arrested; after that, a fugitive status (Daftar Pencarian Orang) will be issued,” he said.
