Encouraging SME Development, South Jakarta City Government Holds Coffee Business Training
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The South Jakarta Industrial, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Service (PPKUKM) held a coffee business training programme aimed at promoting SME development to become more advanced, independent, innovative, and competitive. “Through this programme, SME actors receive comprehensive assistance starting from entrepreneurship training, licensing facilitation, product certification, business management strengthening, digital marketing, to market access expansion,” said the Head of the South Jakarta PPKUKM Service, Djaharuddin, in a statement in Jakarta on Monday. Djaharuddin explained that the programme titled UMKM Go Digital Let’s Talk About Coffee with Kumura.id also serves as an effort to create new entrepreneurs while encouraging existing SME actors to level up amid increasingly tight market competition. “I appreciate the collaboration with PT David Roy Indonesia, which plays an important role in supporting SME development in South Jakarta through the Kumura.id platform,” he said. “This collaboration is not limited to training implementation but represents a tangible form of collective concern in building the capacity of small business actors to survive, grow, and level up,” Djaharuddin stated. He added that the training also provides insights into the potential of the coffee business, which is currently developing into one of the market trends with promising business opportunities. Coffee is now not only seen as a beverage but also as part of people’s lifestyle. “This situation opens business opportunities ranging from coffee product processing, coffee shops, marketing of coffee derivative products, to developing local brands with distinctive identities,” he explained. Djaharuddin noted that during the training, participants received guidance on digital marketing, brand strengthening, and strategies to expand markets through digital media. “I invite all participants to make the most of this opportunity, actively discuss, gain knowledge from the speakers, and build networks among entrepreneurs,” he said. Meanwhile, one of the participants, Andi Rahman, expressed delight in attending the training as it provided new knowledge about digitalising product marketing. “I want to learn more about digital techniques. Currently, society needs attractive product displays and promotions on social media,” he said.
