Encouraging a More Impactful Financial Lifestyle, Nanobank Syariah Drives the Generasi Syariah Movement
Jakarta – PT Nanobank Syariah has launched the Generasi Syariah movement as an effort to encourage young people to make Sharia principles part of a modern, more meaningful lifestyle. The Generasi Syariah initiative aims to strengthen literacy and financial inclusion in Indonesian Sharia finance.
Soejanto, Director of Corporate Banking at Nanobank Syariah, explained that Generasi Syariah is a movement aimed at building a new mindset towards Sharia values in daily life. Although public understanding of Sharia finance continues to rise, the use of Sharia financial products and services in day-to-day financial activities still needs to be promoted.
“Generasi Syariah is not merely a religious label, but a movement for those who want to live life in a better way. We want to show that Sharia is not something rigid, but a compass in thinking, choosing, and transacting more wisely and with impact,” Soejanto said in a statement on Friday, 6 March 2026.
Meanwhile, Halim, Chief Executive of Nanobank Syariah, said the movement is part of the company’s commitment to deliver broader impact, not only through banking services but also social contributions.
“For Nanobank Syariah, business growth must run in parallel with social usefulness. Therefore we are committed to continuing to channel zakat from income and infaq from employees through BAZNAS,” he said.
In this launch moment, Nanobank Syariah also distributed donations through collaboration with BAZNAS as a manifestation of the company’s commitment to providing tangible benefits to the community.
Through this campaign, Nanobank Syariah presents various initiatives to support the Generasi Syariah lifestyle, ranging from digital campaigns, educational podcast ‘Obrolan Abu-Abu’, to developing communities that encourage positive collaboration among young people.
