Employee dies after fall

JAKARTA: An employee of PT Citra Fikritama, Stevanus Sumarsono, was killed on Friday at 11 a.m. after falling from the air-conditioning tower at the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration building on Jl. Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta.

Stevanus was checking the tower when he fell from the third floor of the building as most Moslems in the office complex performed a mass prayer at midday.

No officers either from the ministry or the company were available for comment.

Stevanus' death was ironic bearing in mind that the ministry has been campaigning for safety in workplace over the past few years.
