Emotional Homecoming of Two Republika Journalists from Global Sumud Flotilla Mission

Two Republika journalists, Thoudy Badai Rifan Billah and Bambang Noroyono, returned to Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, on Sunday (24 May 2026) following their participation in the Global Sumud Flotilla humanitarian mission to Gaza. They had been detained by the Israeli military during the mission, which aimed to deliver aid to Gaza, Palestine. The Indonesian government, in collaboration with various parties, successfully repatriated nine Indonesian citizens detained by Israeli forces during the humanitarian effort.
