Emirates increases flights from Jakarta
JAKARTA: Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline,
announced on Tuesday that it will increase flights from Jakarta
from four days a week to daily starting this month.
The airline will also use the largest aircraft in its fleet --
Boeing 777-300s -- on three of its daily flights to provide local
cargo partners with delivery time and space availability
advantages, the statement said.
"Switching to larger planes flying on a daily schedule is our
client-based initiative to help improve performance and meet
growing demand from those industries, John Rotikan, Emirates
Country Manager Indonesia said.
With these features, local cargo partners can enjoy the
benefit of being connected to 58 destinations in 41 countries
within the Emirates network on a daily basis.
Emirates Indonesian SkyCargo has been operating since 1992 and
has a capacity of between 13 tons and 15 tones per flight. --JP
