Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat (RSUP) Prof Ngoerah in Denpasar, Bali, is ensuring that emergency services (IGD) and inpatient care will continue to operate during the Nyepi and Idul Fitri holidays. However, outpatient clinic services will be temporarily closed from Thursday (18/3/2026) to Monday (23/3/2026).

“Only outpatient clinics will not be operational. Emergency procedures will continue 24 hours,” said I Made Darmajaya, Director of Medical and Nursing Services at RSUP Prof Ngoerah, to detikBali on Tuesday (17/3/2026).

During Nyepi, RSUP Prof Ngoerah will continue to provide a number of specialist doctors to handle patients requiring emergency treatment. The doctors on standby include specialists in surgery, obstetrics, internal medicine, paediatrics, cardiology, anaesthesia, and radiology.

Beyond this, RSUP Prof Ngoerah will also prepare logistical support for medical staff on duty, patients, and media representatives who will monitor the hospital’s situation during Nyepi.

For patients requiring routine procedures such as haemodialysis (HD) and chemotherapy, RSUP Prof Ngoerah will adjust schedules. Urgent patients will undergo procedures one day before Nyepi, or one day after Nyepi for non-urgent patients.

“HD and chemotherapy patients have been arranged by us. We schedule procedures one day before Nyepi or one day after if not urgent,” explained Darmajaya.

“The hospital has prepared a list of patients and service schedules during the holiday period to ensure healthcare services continue operating without disrupting patient needs,” clarified Darmajaya.
