Embezzlement case goes to court

JAMBI: The Jambi township parking fee division head is being
tried in court and could face a year in jail for allegedly
embezzling Rp 214 million, Antara reported on Saturday.

The prosecutor, Sugiyono, demanded that the defendant,
identified only as IK, be fined Rp 10 million.

The defendant was brought to trial for allegedly cooperating
with the former head of the parking agency who was earlier
convicted to seven months jail. (anr)
