Embezzled Auction Funds of Rp 2 Billion, Former Kudus District Court Chief Dismissed
The Supreme Court (MA) and the Judicial Commission (KY) have imposed a severe sanction of dishonourable discharge on the former Head of the Kudus District Court, identified as SW. The Judicial Honour Panel (MKH) declared SW proven to have embezzled Rp 2 billion.
The verdict was handed down by the MKH in a session held at the Supreme Court building on Tuesday, 23 June 2026. During the session, it was revealed that SW was proven to have embezzled Rp 2 billion in entrusted funds for the purchase of auction objects belonging to a complainant with the initials LHS in 2022.
“Where the money should have been used for the purchase of auction objects in Kudus, the Reported party SW instead used it for personal interests,” stated the MKH’s consideration, as quoted from the official Supreme Court website on Wednesday, 24 June 2026.
In addition to the embezzlement, SW was also cited for committing another violation in 2020. At that time, SW issued a court product in the form of a decree used for the transfer of inheritance assets. However, the decree he made was not registered in the court administration. SW committed these violations while serving as the Head of the Kudus District Court during the 2020-2022 period.
Furthermore, SW had previously received money related to the handling of several cases while serving as the Head of the Baturaja District Court from 2018 to 2020. The Supreme Court and the Judicial Commission stated there is no tolerance for violations of judicial integrity.
For information, the MKH session was chaired by the Head of the Supreme Court’s Civil Chamber, Hamdi, and accompanied by six panel members consisting of Supreme Court Justices and Judicial Commission commissioners.
