EMAS Begins Shipping 44.04 Kg of Dore Bars, Ready to Enter Commercial Phase
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - PT Merdeka Gold Resources Tbk (EMAS) has officially made its first shipment of 44.04 kilograms of dore bars for the refining process. The shipment was made to the facilities of PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM).
This shipment marks an important stage in the transition towards more stable and measurable commercial production. The dore refining process is the final stage in gold processing, separating pure gold from silver and other metals in the dore bars using chemical or electrolytic methods. This process produces pure gold and silver.
President Director of EMAS, Boyke Poerbaya Abidin, stated that this refining process is a dynamic and rapid step before entering the commercial phase, ensuring the quality of the Pani Gold Mine’s output.
“This shipment of dore for refining further confirms the operational readiness of Pani. We are focused on ensuring that gold production runs in a disciplined manner and meets this year’s targets. In addition, the company is accelerating the development of the Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) facility to achieve higher and optimal production,” said Boyke in a written statement on Thursday (February 26, 2026).
The company targets gold production at the Pani Gold Mine in 2026 to be 110,000-115,000 ounces. As part of its medium-term strategy, EMAS is also accelerating the construction of the CIL facility, which will complement the heap leach operations and be key to achieving optimal production of around 500,000 ounces of gold per year.
The integration of heap leach and CIL is designed to gradually increase output towards significant long-term capacity. In its operations, EMAS is committed to carrying out responsible mining operations in accordance with the principles of Good Mining Practices (GMP) and high environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards.
With resources of over 7 million ounces and a competitive cost profile, Pani is projected to be one of the main contributors to the growth of production and cash flow for the Merdeka Group in the coming years.
