PT Elnusa Petrofin (EPN) is fully supporting the implementation of the national B50 mandatory programme. This was demonstrated through the first distribution of B50 industrial biodiesel from the Indonesia Bulk Terminal (IBT) Fuel Terminal on Pulau Laut, South Kalimantan, to the industrial sector. This milestone is an important part of the Pertamina Group’s strategic steps in supporting the national energy transition agenda while strengthening energy security based on domestic resources through increased utilisation of biofuel in Indonesia. PT Elnusa Petrofin President Director Doni Indrawan stated that the implementation of the first B50 distribution for the industrial sector is a tangible manifestation of Pertamina Group’s synergy in supporting the government’s strategic agenda towards national energy independence and sustainability. ‘The B50 mandatory programme is a strategic step in strengthening national energy security while increasing the use of domestic resource-based energy. Elnusa Petrofin is proud to be part of the Pertamina Group ecosystem in supporting the first distribution of B50 Industrial Biodiesel, especially for the mining sector which plays an important role in the national economy,’ Doni said. The distribution follows the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 257.K/EK.01/MEM.E/2026 dated 17 June 2026 concerning the Obligation to Blend 50 Percent Biodiesel-Type Biofuel with Diesel Fuel Oil (B50) within the financing framework by the Plantation Fund Management Agency. As part of the Pertamina Group’s energy logistics ecosystem, Elnusa Petrofin plays a role in ensuring the operational readiness of terminals, the blending process, and the distribution of B50 products to industrial sector customers. ‘This is our contribution to ensuring the energy transformation can proceed reliably, safely, and sustainably,’ he added. The first receipt of FAME with B50 specifications was carried out on 1 July 2026 via the vessel MT Ocean Link. Subsequently, the first distribution of B50 Industrial Biodiesel was conducted on 2 July 2026 to the vessel OB Ocean Brave for customer VHS Patra Logistik.
