PT Elnusa Petrofin (EPN) has distributed 46 cattle and 115 goats to 21,870 beneficiaries across various operational regions in observance of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriyah. The corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, titled Petrofin Berkurban, was carried out in parallel since Wednesday, 27 May 2026, with a symbolic event at the Semper Depot on Thursday, 28 May 2026. The distribution was conducted through over 130 operational units of Elnusa Petrofin spread across regions including Gorontalo, Samarinda, Ampenan, Palopo, Pontianak, Pangkal Balam, Dumai, and other operational areas in Indonesia.

‘Through the Petrofin Berkurban programme, the company distributed 46 cattle and 115 goats to 21,870 beneficiaries, including local communities, the less fortunate, and other vulnerable groups,’ Putiarsa stated in a statement on 30 May 2026.

According to Putiarsa, the distribution was executed via Elnusa Petrofin’s operational network across Indonesia, with the programme being an annual company initiative to share with communities around operational areas.

Ferdiansyah, Director of Operations and Marketing at PT Elnusa Petrofin, said the Eid al-Adha sacrifice is not only a form of social concern but also part of efforts to build good relationships with communities and stakeholders. Additionally, the company has implemented environmentally friendly measures in the distribution of sacrificial meat. For the past two years, Elnusa Petrofin has promoted the use of reusable containers instead of single-use plastics.

Putiarsa explained that this is part of applying the Product Life Cycle principle to reuse distribution containers and reduce plastic waste. ‘As a gesture of environmental concern, this year’s meat distribution process emphasises the Product Life Cycle principle by avoiding single-use plastics and encouraging beneficiaries to use reusable containers,’ he said.

One beneficiary, Faisal, head of RW 04, expressed gratitude for the distribution. ‘It’s heartwarming to see companies caring for local communities. The Elnusa Petrofin Qurban assistance has directly benefited us,’ he said.

Lurah Kolakaasi, H Sendi Jayadi Alex, also praised the aid. ‘Thank you to Elnusa Petrofin for assisting in distributing Qurban for our subdistrict. This aid will be distributed to those in need,’ he added.

The Petrofin Berkurban programme is an annual initiative by Elnusa Petrofin as part of the company’s social programmes during Eid al-Adha.
