Eleven nightspots to be punished

JAKARTA (JP): The authorities will punish 11 nightspots found violating regulations during New Year's Eve, a City Public Order official said yesterday.

Toha Reno, the head of the entertainment department, said the establishments committed various violations.

"Some of them did not have business permits or permits to hold year-end festivities, while one nightspot was found performing erotic shows," he said.

Others violated their permit's hours.

Toha did not specify what kind of punishments might be imposed on the nightspots.

The City Public Order Office had issued 515 permits for nightspots to hold year-end festivities. (sur)
