Eleven injured in mass brawl

PALU, Central Sulawesi: Eleven people were seriously injured,
three houses burned and hundreds of people forced to flee during
a five-hour brawl between Bora and Watunonju villagers in Central
Sulawesi.

Tuesday's brawl, the latest of six sparked by a land dispute,
ended only after a squadron of police arrived at the scene.

"The current situation is relatively calm but police are still
monitoring the villages," Donggala Police operations head Adj.
Comm. T. Rudi Suprapto said. --Antara
