Eleven die in KL hotel fire

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuter): Eleven people died in a fire at a hotel
in Malaysia's Borneo state of Sabah on Saturday, the national
Bernama news agency reported.

The victims, all believed to be Malaysians, were said to have
suffocated due to smoke inhalation.

The agency quoted a fire department spokesman as saying the 11
killed were among 14 guests at the five-story Park View Hotel
when the fire broke out at dawn.
