Electronic manufacturers are increasingly aggressive in launching premium televisions with gaming features to meet rising demand for digital home entertainment. Modern TVs no longer rely solely on large screens and sharp image quality; the latest models now feature performance capabilities previously associated with competitive gaming monitors.

This trend is evident in Haier Indonesia’s launch of the H75S85GUX S85 Series, a 75-inch television designed to deliver cinematic experiences alongside advanced gaming performance in the living room. The model includes modern gaming features such as a native 120Hz refresh rate, HDMI 2.1 connectivity, and Motion Estimation & Motion Compensation (MEMC) 120Hz to reduce motion blur during fast movement. It also features Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) to eliminate screen tearing, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for quicker response with low input lag, and eARC for high-quality uncompressed audio transmission.

Xie Jing Teng, ME Owner of TV Product at Haier Indonesia, stated the device was developed to provide a more adaptive modern entertainment experience for current user needs, including gamers requiring high visual performance and quick response. “The Haier H75S85GUX is positioned as a modern entertainment solution integrating intelligent technology across visual, audio, and high performance adaptively in every frame. Through a combination of 120Hz refresh rate, HDMI 2.1, and AI-based visual technology, we are not just offering a large screen or functionality, but a new standard that delivers vivid, memorable emotional experiences with family,” he said in a press release received on Friday, 29 May.

He added that competitive gaming experiences are now more optimal thanks to low latency and instant responsiveness, crucial for gamers across various genres. On the visual side, the TV uses QLED technology with AI Picture Quality (AIPQ) for real-time image optimisation. Audio is prioritised with Dolby Atmos and Total Sonic systems. The device runs on Google TV, allowing access to streaming services like Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+, supported by 2+32GB memory and Bluetooth 5.1 for smooth navigation and data processing.

The trend of high-end gaming TVs demonstrates the blurring line between home entertainment devices and professional gaming equipment. TCL, in collaboration with Informa Electronics, has also launched the TCL A400 Pro NXT Vision TV, an artistic television combining advanced technology with modern design. Indonesian consumers are increasingly favouring large-screen televisions, with 98-inch models becoming the top-selling size in major cities across the country.
