Electricity tariffs per kWh from 16-19 April 2026 have been set to remain unchanged. The applicable electricity rates still refer to the second quarter 2026 prices.

Acting Director General of Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tri Winarno, stated that the decision to maintain electricity tariffs was made after considering various factors, particularly the current economic conditions.

“This determination is intended to safeguard the public’s purchasing power ahead of Eid al-Fitr, following calculations based on various macroeconomic parameters,” Tri said in an official statement on Monday (16/3/2026).

The regulation explains that tariffs for non-subsidised customers are evaluated every three months.

Tariff adjustments are based on several macroeconomic indicators, including the rupiah exchange rate, Indonesian Crude Price (ICP), inflation, and the reference coal price (HBA).

Thus, electricity tariffs are ensured to remain stable for both subsidised and non-subsidised customers.
