Electricity tariffs per kWh this week, from 12-17 May 2026, have been determined to remain unchanged. The applicable electricity tariffs still refer to the second quarter 2026 rates. Acting Director General of Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tri Winarno, stated that the decision to retain electricity tariffs has undergone various considerations, particularly the current economic conditions. “The government has set electricity tariffs for the second quarter of 2026 to remain the same. This determination is made to safeguard public purchasing power,” said Tri in an official statement on Monday (16/3/2026). The regulation explains that tariffs for non-subsidised customers are evaluated every three months. Tariff adjustments are based on several macroeconomic indicators, including the rupiah exchange rate, Indonesian Crude Price (ICP), inflation, and the coal reference price (HBA). In addition to protecting public purchasing power, this policy also aims to support industrial competitiveness amid global economic uncertainties. What are the latest applicable electricity tariffs?
