Electric Vehicle Maintenance: Optimise Battery Life and Understand ADAS Features

JAKARTA – Electric vehicle owners need to pay attention to several aspects to maintain optimal vehicle performance, particularly regarding battery usage and software updates.

Jaecoo Aftersales Service Operation Manager Bayu Agus Mustofa said one thing to avoid is letting the battery capacity drop too low.

“Avoid letting the battery fall below 10 per cent or discharging it completely, as this helps maintain the health of the battery cells,” Bayu said during an interview in North Jakarta recently.

He also emphasised the importance of understanding all available vehicle features.

According to him, many consumers still do not fully master the technology in their cars.

“Consumers need to familiarise themselves with the vehicle features. Cars like the Jaecoo J5 have numerous features, including ADAS and others. Some complaints we receive are due to consumers not understanding how the vehicle works,” Bayu said.

Equally important, vehicle owners are advised to regularly update the software.

This is because manufacturers like Jaecoo periodically release updates to enhance comfort and functionality.

One feature currently being optimised is vehicle lighting control.

By understanding vehicle features, maintaining battery condition, and regularly updating software, electric vehicle owners can enjoy optimal performance and extended component lifespan.
