Electric Vehicle Catches Fire in Slipi After Striking Busway Separator

A traffic accident involving an eco-friendly vehicle has occurred again in the capital. An electric vehicle was reported to have been burnt to the ground after hitting a road barrier, or busway separator, in the Slipi area, West Jakarta, on Friday (11/9) morning.

The incident took place specifically on Jalan Letjen S. Parman, Slipi, Palmerah. According to official reports, this single-vehicle accident triggered a large fire that consumed the entire body of the vehicle.

The Head of Operations for the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service, Syaiful Kahfi, confirmed that reports of the incident were received by officers at approximately 05:04 WIB. The electric vehicle, with registration number B 18 YZK, was travelling along Jalan Letjen S. Parman before the driver lost control.
