Electric Motorcycles from Dadan Era Will Not Be 'Discarded', BGN: We Will Utilise Them Maximally

JAKARTA – Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Agustina Arumsari has addressed the status of electric motorcycles procured under a legally troubled scheme. The BGN intends to utilise every item already purchased to support the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme.

Arumsari stated that the BGN is conducting a thorough review of expenditures made by the agency last year. “In general, we have combed through all spending from 2025 one by one. If there is any BGN procurement in 2026 with an output more or less the same as in 2025, we will not execute it in 2026,” she said when asked about the BGN’s electric motorcycles during a press conference on Thursday (18/6/2026).

She added that the BGN will make use of all types of goods purchased last year, including the electric motorcycles that serve as evidence in the corruption case involving former BGN Head Dadan Hindayana and his two deputies, Sony Sonjaya and Lodewyk Pusung. “We will utilise them maximally. We are still discussing the specifics of each item with colleagues, especially since the matter is still being processed by the prosecutor’s office,” she said.
