After the Eid al-Fitr celebrations, Indonesian society is beginning to resume daily activities and routines. This moment is also utilised as a starting point to enhance productivity while shifting to a more efficient and environmentally friendly lifestyle.

With the increasing mobility after the long holiday, the need for practical and cost-effective vehicles becomes increasingly relevant. Electric motorcycles are present as an alternative mode of transportation deemed capable of meeting these needs, particularly in urban areas.

One electric vehicle manufacturer, United E-Motor, offers a variety of electric motorcycle choices to support the daily activities of the public. The products presented are designed with modern technology and better energy efficiency compared to conventional fuel-based vehicles.

One of the models offered is the United MT1500, which features a modern sporty design and is intended for daily use. This motorcycle has a maximum power of 2700 watts, a speed of up to 70 km per hour, and a range of up to 80 km on a single charge. Additionally, it offers three speed modes and a direct charging system from household electricity with a minimum capacity of 900 VA.

From an operational perspective, electric motorcycles are considered more efficient because they do not require petroleum fuel and rely solely on electricity charging. Moreover, these vehicles produce no exhaust emissions, making them more environmentally friendly. The ease of charging without special infrastructure is an added value for users in urban areas.

In addition to the MT1500, United E-Motor’s product line also includes various other types such as the T1800, TX Series, and C2000, which offer larger battery capacities for longer journeys. Meanwhile, the RX6000 is available as a variant with high performance for users needing greater power and stronger range.

Director of PT Terang Dunia Internusa Tbk, Andrew Mulyadi, stated that the post-Eid momentum is the right time to switch to a more efficient mobility pattern.

“The momentum after Eid is the right time to get moving in a smarter way. Electric motorcycles are not only a mobility solution but also part of a future lifestyle that is more efficient, cost-saving, and environmentally friendly,” he said.

With these various advantages, electric motorcycles are deemed a relevant mobility choice for the public in supporting daily activities, while also contributing to emission reduction and transportation cost efficiency.

The presence of United E-Motor at two major exhibitions earlier this year is part of the strategy to build public trust in electric motorcycles.

The electric vehicle industry continues to seek ways to expand market adoption amid price sensitivities and consumer range considerations.

The Ministry of Industry records that there are 66 domestic companies producing two-wheeled and three-wheeled electric vehicles, with an annual production capacity of 2.37 million units.

Such incentives can serve as a catalyst for systemic transformation, from increasing public purchasing power, building a green industry, to laying the foundation for a low-carbon economy in the future.

He added that to optimise the benefits of this programme, policy support needs to be expanded not only targeting purchase subsidies.

Power management and route selection become determining factors for safe Eid homecoming using electric motorcycles.

Riders are advised to use digital map applications to identify locations of Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU).
