Electric Motorcycle Vendor Approached Former BGN Deputy Despite Lacking Dealership
The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has named a new suspect in the alleged corruption case related to the management of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme. The new suspect is Andri Mulyono, identified as a Commissioner of PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal (PT YAT), the provider of Emmo electric motorcycles purchased by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).
“Based on two sufficient pieces of evidence, the investigative team has named AM, Commissioner of PT YAT, as a suspect in the investigation into alleged corruption in the MBG programme’s management at BGN,” said the Director of Investigations at the Junior Attorney General’s Office for Special Crimes, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, to reporters in Jakarta on Friday (12/6/2026).
He stated that PT YAT was the electric motorcycle provider procured by BGN. The Attorney General’s Office explained that Andri, as commissioner, met with BGN Deputy Head Lodewyk Pusung to introduce himself.
“In 2025, AM, as commissioner and controller of PT YAT, which operates in goods procurement and logistics, held a meeting with LP, who served as Deputy Head of BGN, to present the company’s profile for the purpose of undertaking projects at BGN,” Syarief said.
Following the meeting, Andri obtained information regarding the plan to procure electric motorcycles at BGN. Andri then approached the Procurement Officer (PPK) at BGN to arrange the procurement process, despite PT YAT not meeting the requirements as it did not yet have a dealer or workshop.
“AM unlawfully engaged in active communication with the PPK to follow up on the procurement. In fact, PT YAT did not yet have an active dealer or workshop and did not meet the requirements, and the procurement process had not yet commenced,” he stated.
In short, PT YAT secured the project. The Attorney General’s Office suspects there was a mark-up on the price of the electric motorcycles.
AM has been charged under Articles 603 and 604 of the Criminal Code and has been detained.
The Attorney General’s Office had previously named four individuals as suspects in the alleged corruption case involving MBG management. They are:
Former Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana
Former Deputy Head of BGN Sony Sonjaya
Former Deputy Head of BGN Lodewyk Pusung
Asep Yusuf Somantri (AYS), a close associate of Sony.
The Attorney General’s Office suspects irregularities in the management of the MBG programme, including alleged affiliations between the suspects and the foundation managing the SPPG, as well as suspected mark-ups in the procurement of electric motorcycles, shoes, tablets, and televisions.
Sony has since submitted a request to become a justice collaborator. Sony named 26 individuals in his official interview report.
