Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Electrification is one of the strategies being promoted by the government as part of efforts to accelerate the national energy transition. One sector that is aggressively pushing electrification is mining, which is utilising electric vehicle (EV)-based heavy equipment as part of decarbonisation and operational efficiency efforts. Examining the potential for electrifying mining vehicles, Indomobil JAC’s Chief Operating Officer, Reggie Kurnia, stated that his company, as a distributor of commercial electric vehicles, has begun entering the mining sector, particularly for companies that implement Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in pursuit of Net Zero Emission (NZE) targets. Indomobil JAC provides vehicles and solutions for mining electrification that can enhance operational efficiency and comfort, thereby reducing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Among Indomobil JAC’s products for the mining sector is an electric 4x4 double-cabin vehicle.
