Electric Car Hits Motorcycle and Busway Separator in Front of DPR, Traffic Congested

An accident involving an electric car and a motorcyclist occurred in front of the DPR complex on Jalan Gatot Subroto, Central Jakarta. The incident caused traffic congestion.

Information was conveyed by the Traffic Management Center (TMC) of Polda Metro Jaya via its Facebook account. The accident occurred at around 08.30 WIB this morning, precisely in front of Pulau Dua in the DPR/MPR RI complex, on Jalan Gatot Subroto heading towards Slipi.

The accident involved an electric car and a motorcyclist. In the incident, the electric car crashed into a busway separator.

“An accident occurred involving an electric sedan and a motorcyclist crashing into a busway separator on Jl. Gatot Subroto in front of Pulau Dua MPR/DPR RI heading towards Slipi,” stated TMC Polda Metro Jaya on Monday (31/8/2026).

There is no further information yet regarding the chronology of the accident. However, police officers are handling the accident.

“It is currently still being handled by the Traffic Accident Unit of Polda Metro Jaya,” wrote TMC.

As a result of the accident, traffic flow towards Slipi became congested. Meanwhile, from a photo uploaded by TMC Polda Metro Jaya, the motorcyclist appeared to be injured.

“The traffic situation approaching the location is experiencing slowdowns,” concluded TMC Polda Metro.
