Eka Sastra Officially Appointed President Director of PSKT to Lead Red Planet Indonesia's Transformation
PT Red Planet Indonesia Tbk (PSKT) officially appointed Eka Sastra as the company’s President Director during the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) held on Friday, 19 June 2026 at the Cityloog Hotel Tebet, Jakarta. The management change was one of the key decisions taken by shareholders to strengthen the company’s business direction amid efforts to accelerate growth in the national hospitality sector. During the meeting, shareholders approved changes to the composition of the Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners for the next management period. In addition to approving the annual report and financial statements for the 2025 fiscal year, the RUPST also appointed a Public Accounting Firm to audit the company’s financial statements for the 2026 fiscal year. Eka Sastra has a long track record in government, investment, and corporate sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from Hasanuddin University, a Master of Social Development from the University of Indonesia, and a Doctor of Business from the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB). Prior to joining PSKT, Eka served as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Commission VI for the 2014–2019 period. He was also previously the President Commissioner of PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur and a Special Staff member at the Ministry of Investment/BKPM. The company stated that the management change was carried out to strengthen corporate governance while supporting long-term business strategy. Besides appointing Eka Sastra as President Director, the company also appointed Shinta Trisna Sutrisno and Wirawan as members of the Board of Directors. Shinta has extensive experience in corporate law and governance and is a law graduate from the University of Indonesia. Her previous roles include VP Corporate Legal & Corporate Secretary at PT Net Visi Media Tbk, Legal Advisor at Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific HQ, and Senior Corporate Legal & Corporate Secretary at PT Urban Jakarta Propertindo Tbk. Dwi Wirawan is known as a hospitality industry practitioner with experience managing various hotel and resort properties in Indonesia. He holds an MBA from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Management from UNIKA Parahyangan. He served as Managing Director of The Cangkringan Jogja & The Jimbaran Bali for 10 years and has been President Director of PT Java Paradise Island since 2014. In the Board of Commissioners, shareholders approved the appointment of Albertus Indra Sasmita as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner. A graduate of Trisakti University, he has served as CFO/COO of PT Adiwisesa Mandiri BPI, CFO of PT Trimegah Sekuritas Tbk, CFO of Sinarmas Mining, and Director at Northstar Group. Andre Rasjid Prabu Mangkuningrat, an MBA graduate from Pepperdine Graziadio, was also appointed as Commissioner. His background includes roles as Managing Director of PT Cakrabuana Ventura Indonesia and President Director of PT Rasuna Mitra Indika. Praba Diwangkara Caraka Putra Soma, a law and international development studies graduate from SOAS University of London, joins the board with experience as Head of Transformation & Corporate Strategy at PT Rukun Raharja Tbk. Cindy Budijono, a law graduate from Atmajaya University, completes the board. She previously served as Head of Legal Department at PT Rukun Raharja Tbk and as a Commissioner at PT Bukit Uluwatu Villa Tbk. The decision to change the management structure is seen as a strategic move for PSKT, which is continuing its business transformation after rebranding its hotel network to Hotel Monoloog in 2023. Red Planet Indonesia is a long-standing budget hotel operator listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange since 1995 under the ticker code PSKT. The company currently operates seven hotels across Jakarta, Bekasi, Makassar, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Solo, and Surabaya, with a total of 1,051 rooms. Shareholders also granted authority to the Board of Commissioners to determine the remuneration for Directors and Commissioners for the 2026 fiscal year. With the new management in place, the market is anticipating the strategic direction PSKT will take to increase hotel occupancy rates, strengthen profitability, and capitalise on growth opportunities in the expanding domestic tourism and travel industry. The appointment of Eka Sastra as President Director is expected to mark a new chapter for PSKT in accelerating business transformation and enhancing value for shareholders and stakeholders. The company’s shareholding structure is dominated by controlling shareholders, with a free float level in accordance with the latest regulations. As of Friday, 19 June 2026, PT Basis Utama Prima is listed as the controlling shareholder with 4.22 billion shares, or 40.77 percent, followed by Moh. A.R.P. Mangkuningrat with 2.33 billion shares, or 22.46 percent. The public’s share portion is recorded at 2.05 billion shares, or 19.0 percent.
