Eight Teenage Victims of Sexual Assault in East Flores, Police Hunt Perpetrator

A man identified as M in East Adonara District, East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT), sexually assaulted eight teenagers. The incidents occurred in October 2025. Police are currently pursuing the perpetrator.

The case only came to light after the mother of one victim reported the matter to the Integrated Police Service Centre (SPKT) at East Adonara Police Station on Monday, 16 February 2026.

Fardan Adi Nugroho, the Criminal Investigation Unit Head of East Flores Police, stated that the family of the victim identified as NJA reported M to police for sexually assaulting their child identified as AR, aged 17.

Based on police investigation developments, Fardan continued, M did not only assault AR but also assaulted seven of his relatives identified as IP (14), AM (16), MF, NH (14), NA, IS and NI.

“We have already questioned seven victims and three witnesses. One more victim has yet to appear. The suspect was summoned but did not come, and we have information that he fled from the start of the report,” he said.

“Even though the accused has evaded the investigator’s summons and fled from his hometown in East Adonara,” he emphasised.
