Eight Government Programme Beneficiaries to Attend Annual Session
The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) will present eight recipients of government programme benefits at the MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR-DPD at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Friday (14/8).
Plt. Secretary General of the DPR, Suprihartini, stated at the parliamentary complex on Tuesday that the eight individuals will observe the proceedings from the balcony of the Nusantara Building alongside exemplary figures and the best participants of the Youth Parliament.
“The government will present eight beneficiaries, they will be placed on the balcony together with the exemplary figures and the best Youth Parliament participants,” she said.
Suprihartini did not yet explain the identities of the eight individuals or the specific government programmes from which they have benefited.
The DPR held a preliminary rehearsal on Tuesday as initial preparation. The full dress rehearsal and final rehearsal will be conducted closer to the day of the event.
Suprihartini stated that this year’s MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR and DPD will commence at 08:30 WIB, earlier than usual, so that the series of activities can be completed before Friday prayers.
“Hopefully it goes according to schedule, so it can be concluded before Friday prayers,” she said.
President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to attend the series of sessions at the Nusantara Building, within the parliamentary complex.
