Jakarta — PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Jakarta Regional Operations 1 (Daop 1) recorded 45,382 passengers departing Jakarta by train and 22,092 passengers arriving at various stations within the Daop 1 Jakarta region on H-8 Lebaran 2026 (13 March).

These figures demonstrate an increasing trend compared to the two preceding days, with 29,824 passengers departing on 11 March and 40,178 departing on 12 March, according to KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager Franoto Wibowo.

Pasar Senen station recorded the highest passenger volume with 18,657 passengers, followed by Gambir station with 14,767 passengers, Bekasi with 4,914 passengers, Cikarang with 2,653 passengers, Jatinegara with 2,612 passengers, Cikampek with 968 passengers, and Karawang with 811 passengers.

Passenger arrivals on the same day were recorded at Pasar Senen (7,594 passengers), Gambir (5,586 passengers), Bekasi (4,043 passengers), Jatinegara (2,901 passengers), Cikarang (926 passengers), Cikampek (575 passengers), and Karawang (467 passengers).

Cumulatively, during the period from 11 to 13 March 2026, the total number of departing passengers from the Daop 1 Jakarta region reached 115,384 persons, whilst arriving passengers totalled 56,028.

During the 2026 Lebaran transport period, KAI is providing 1,076,196 seats for long-distance train journeys from Gambir and Pasar Senen stations.

Popular travel dates among the public include 18 March (49,105 tickets), 19 March (48,465 tickets), 16 March (47,703 tickets), and 17 March (47,556 tickets).

In support of the government’s economic stimulus programme, KAI is offering discounts of up to 30 per cent on commercial economy class fares during 14-29 March 2026.

Nationally, approximately 1.2 million seats are being provided, whilst the Daop 1 Jakarta region has approximately 329,000 seats available, with around 67,000 seats still available.

During the Lebaran transport period, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta is operating 68 regular long-distance train services per day, supplemented by 12 additional services from Gambir station, 7 additional services from Pasar Senen station, and 4 free motor train services.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta has undertaken various preparations covering operational aspects, railway safety, and enhanced customer service to ensure that travel during the Lebaran transport period proceeds safely, comfortably, and on schedule, Franoto stated.
