Eight BPRs Merge into PT BPR Pusaka Dana to Strengthen Capital and Competitiveness
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) is confident that the merger of eight rural banks (BPR) into PT BPR Pusaka Dana will successfully improve capital structure and competitiveness. The eight merged banks are PT BPR Lambang Ganda, PT BPR Tutur Ganda, PT BPR Sungkunandhana, PT BPR Persada Ganda, PT BPR Ihuthan Ganda, PT BPR Sapadhana, PT BPR Padat Ganda, and PT BPR Ulintha Ganda.
Head of OJK Banten Province, Adi Dharma, stated that this corporate action is an implementation of OJK Regulation (POJK) Number 7 of 2024 concerning BPR and Sharia BPR, as well as a strategic step to strengthen industry resilience through institutional consolidation. With the issuance of OJK Board of Commissioners Decree Number KEP-48/D.03/2026 dated 1 July 2026, the business licences of the eight BPRs were revoked. All assets, liabilities, rights, and operational activities have been fully transferred to PT BPR Pusaka Dana, domiciled in Ciputat, South Tangerang City, Banten. OJK also approved the change in status of all branch networks of the eight BPRs to become part of the merged bank.
“The merger of eight BPRs into PT BPR Pusaka Dana is a tangible form of strengthening the BPR industry structure, which is expected to increase capital capacity, expand service networks, and improve operational efficiency,” Adi said on Thursday, 9 July 2026. He added that the consolidation aims to strengthen the bank’s competitiveness in providing quality services to the public and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Adi noted that the success of the consolidation process is not solely measured by the administrative completeness of the merger, but also by the bank’s ability to integrate good corporate governance, strengthen risk management, and maintain customer trust through professional service. “OJK will continue to supervise to ensure the post-merger integration process runs effectively, so that the goal of creating a healthier, stronger, more efficient, and competitive BPR can be achieved,” he said. Adi revealed that this bank consolidation step is in line with the BPR-BPRS Industry Development and Strengthening Roadmap 2024-2027. PT BPR Pusaka Dana now officially has a wider operational network with offices spread across Banten, West Java, Central Java, and East Java, which is expected to further promote financial inclusion for communities in various regions.
